The courier company has restrictions on the characters in the company name and address column of the electronic waybill.
DHL has specific character limits for the company name and the address fields 1, 2, and 3 on the electronic waybill:
- Company Name: 50 characters maximum
- Address fields: 35 characters maximum per field
If the actual information exceeds the above limits, it is advisable to consider using abbreviations. For example, "Limited" can be abbreviated as "LTD."
Furthermore, since there is a separate section to enter the postal code and country information, it is not necessary to repeat them in the address fields.
UPS also has character limits for the company name and the sender/receiver address on the electronic waybill. Here are the limits imposed by UPS for these fields:
- Company Name: Up to 35 characters
- Sender/Receiver Address: Up to 30 characters
If the input exceeds these limits, the system will prompt an error and request you to modify the input. To ensure proper processing of your waybill, please make sure the entered information complies with UPS' character limits.
According to the official documentation from FedEx, the character limits for the company name and address on the electronic waybill are as follows:
- Company Name: Up to 35 characters
